Dice the tomatoes and chop the fresh basil. Mince the garlic cloves.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently until well mixed. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.
