Pan Seared Salmon with Lemon & Herb Orzo and Urfa Pepper Labneh

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Orzo

In a medium pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil. Add the orzo and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Prepare the Lemon & Herb Orzo

In the same pot, add the cooked orzo, chopped parsley, dill, the juice of half the lemon, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Sear the Salmon

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

  4. 4

    Finish the Salmon

Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the fillets.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Urfa Pepper Labneh

In a small bowl, mix the labneh with urfa pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

On a plate, serve a portion of the lemon & herb orzo topped with a salmon fillet. Add a dollop of urfa pepper labneh on the side.
