Chocolate Profiterole Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparing the Choux Pastry

In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil and add flour. Stir until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Making the Choux

Add eggs one at a time to the flour mixture, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy. Pipe the mixture into small rounds on a baking tray.

  3. 3

    Baking the Profiteroles

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

  4. 4

    Preparing the Chocolate Cremeux

Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. In a separate saucepan, heat cream with sugar and vanilla until it simmers. Pour over chocolate and stir until smooth. Chill until set.

  5. 5

Making the Whipped Turkish Coffee Ganache

Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Dissolve Turkish coffee in a tablespoon of warm water and fold into the whipped cream.

  6. 6

    Assembling the Profiteroles

Cut the tops off the cooled profiteroles and fill them with chocolate cremeux. Top with whipped Turkish coffee ganache and replace the tops.
