Ingredients for Parmigiana
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 2
Breading Process
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the egg, and then coat it with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
Pour marinara sauce over the fried chicken breasts, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti or pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 7
Serve
Serve the chicken parmigiana over the cooked pasta, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
