Zucchini Sticks
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Zucchini
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and dry the zucchinis, then cut them into sticks about 1/2 inch thick.
- 2
Set Up Dredging Stations
In one bowl, pour the buttermilk. In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 3
Dredge the Zucchini
Dip each zucchini stick first into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
- 4
Bake the Zucchini Sticks
Place the coated zucchini sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Prepare Marinara Sauce
While the zucchini sticks are baking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
- 6
Serve
Once the zucchini sticks are done, remove them from the oven and serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
