Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt and the whole lemon, halved. Once boiling, add the jumbo shrimp.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Boil the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

  3. 3

    Cool the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool completely.

Make the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tbsp of horseradish, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce if desired.

  2. 5

    Mix Well

Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve

  1. 6

    Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the cooled shrimp on a serving plate.

  2. 7

    Add Cocktail Sauce

Serve the shrimp alongside a generous portion of the cocktail sauce.
