Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with a bit of butter or oil.

  2. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Serve

Transfer the pancakes to a plate. Serve warm with maple syrup and fresh berries on top.
