Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making sure they are slightly larger than the buns as they will shrink while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, wash the tomato and slice it into thin rounds.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add a couple of tomato slices on top, followed by ketchup and mustard. Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients.

  4. 7

    Serve

Serve the cheeseburgers immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
