Brewing Process
- 1
Mashing
In a large brew kettle, heat 10 liters of water to 66°C (150°F). Add the pale malt and corn, stirring to combine. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.
- 2
Boiling
After mashing, bring the mixture to a boil. Add the bittering hops and boil for 60 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of the boil, add the aroma hops.
- 3
Cooling
After boiling, cool the wort quickly to 20°C (68°F) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.
- 4
Fermentation
Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter. Pitch the lager yeast and seal the fermenter with an airlock. Allow it to ferment at 10-12°C (50-54°F) for two weeks.
- 5
Bottling
After fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to a bottling bucket. Add priming sugar to carbonate the beer. Bottle and cap the beer, then let it condition for another two weeks.
