Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Wash and core the fresh apples, then chop them into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Mixture

After simmering, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the apple pulp. Press the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Return the strained juice to the pot and add sugar, yeast, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Stir well and cover the pot with a clean cloth. Allow to ferment at room temperature for 5 to 7 days.

  5. 5

    Bottling

After fermentation, pour the cider into sterilized bottles. Seal tightly and let it carbonate in the fridge for another 1-2 weeks.

  6. 6

    Serve

Chill the cider in the fridge before serving. Pour into glasses and enjoy your homemade Big Rock Rose Cider!
