Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and a slice of onion. Drizzle ketchup and mustard on top, and cover with the top half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes.
