Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Drizzle olive oil over the steak and rub it in. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Add minced garlic and rub it onto the steak as well.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over high heat until it’s very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak in the hot pan and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden-brown crust forms. Flip the steak and add the rosemary sprigs to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Slice and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately, drizzling any pan juices over the top.
