Onion Rings Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Peel and slice the onions into thick rings, about 1/2 inch thick. Separate the rings and set them aside.

  2. 2

    Set Up the Breading Station

In one bowl, add the all-purpose flour mixed with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Onion Rings

Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each ring is well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Onion Rings

Carefully add the breaded onion rings to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
