For the Honey Butter Chicken & Biscuits

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, combine buttermilk with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Biscuit Dough

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and mix until just combined. Roll out and cut into biscuit shapes.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Dredge the marinated chicken in flour and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Bake the Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the biscuit dough rounds on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.

  5. 5

    Make the Honey Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in honey until well combined. Remove from heat.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the biscuits in half, place a piece of fried chicken on each bottom half, drizzle with honey butter sauce, and top with the other half of the biscuit.
