Burger Patties

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.

  2. 2

    Stuff with Curds

Flatten each portion of beef into a thin patty. Place half a cup of cheese curds in the center of one patty, then cover with the second patty and seal the edges well.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the burger for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down to create a smash effect, until cooked to your desired doneness.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until golden.

  2. 5

    Add Liquid

Gradually whisk in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Place the cooked burger on the bottom half of the bun, generously spoon the house gravy over the top, and cover with the other half of the bun.
