Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Fry the Chicken
Heat the oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat each piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Cook the Chicken
Fry the chicken pieces for 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
