Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, sweet vermouth, simple syrup, and orange bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes.

Stir the mixture well for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute the drink.
