Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tempeh Bacon

Slice the tempeh into thin strips. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, liquid smoke, and olive oil. Marinate the tempeh strips in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Tempeh Bacon

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated tempeh strips for about 5-7 minutes on each side until crispy and browned. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Oven-Dry the Tomatoes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the tomatoes and place them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-30 minutes until they are slightly dried but still juicy.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Fries

Slice the potatoes into thin strips. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Veganator BLT

Toast the country loaf slices. Spread vegan mayo on each slice. Layer with mixed greens, then add the crispy tempeh bacon and oven-dried tomatoes. Top with another slice of bread. Serve with humane fries on the side.
