Method

Candied Bacon Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Candied Bacon

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Coat the Bacon

In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and maple syrup. Dip each slice of bacon into the mixture, ensuring it's well-coated.

  3. 3

    Bake the Bacon

Lay the coated bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and caramelized. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 4

    Form the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently and form into 4 equal-sized patties.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover until melted.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 8

    Spread Peanut Butter

Spread 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

  3. 9

    Build the Burger

Place the melted cheeseburger patty on top of the peanut butter, followed by two slices of candied bacon.

  4. 10

    Add Pickles

Top with a generous amount of crispy dill pickles.

  5. 11

    Close the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the burger and press down gently.
