Method
Preparation of Chicken
- 1
Marinating the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken breasts and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Grilling the Chicken
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 3
Toasting the Buns
While the chicken is resting, you can toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- 4
Preparing the Toppings
Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into 1/4-inch thick slices.
- 5
Building the Sandwich
Spread 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the grilled chicken breast on top, followed by lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Cap with the top half of the bun.
