Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Forming Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cooking the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain.

  2. 4

    Cooking the Patties

In the same skillet, using the bacon grease, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned.

  3. 5

    Flipping the Patties

Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Cooking the Egg

  1. 6

    Frying the Egg

In the same skillet or a separate pan, lightly grease and crack the egg into the pan. Cook on low heat until the white is set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Building the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, the crispy bacon, the over-easy egg, and top it with a slice of tomato, onion, and pickles.

  2. 8

    Completing the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients and gently press down to secure everything. Optionally, you can serve with your favorite condiments.
