Method
Chicken Strips Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- 3
- 4
Coat the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the dry mixture, then into the wet mixture, and finally back into the dry mixture to ensure a good coating.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken strips in batches for about 4-5 minutes each, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Vegetables
Shred the green cabbage and carrots using a grater or food processor.
- 7
Mix the Dressing
In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- 8
Combine Ingredients
Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the dressing and toss until well coated.
- 9
Chill
Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Fries Preparation
- 10
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into fry shapes, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 11
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 12
Fry the Fries
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the soaked fries in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 13
Season the Fries
While the fries are hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
