Chips Preparation
- 1
Cut Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into triangles, creating chip shapes.
- 2
Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Fry Chips
Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
- 4
Drain and Season
Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
Beer Cheese Preparation
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and beer.
- 6
Add Spices
Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- 7
Melt and Stir
Continue to stir the mixture until the cheeses are completely melted and the sauce is smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- 8
Serve
Once the beer cheese is ready, pour it over the crispy tortilla chips and serve immediately.
