Fried Green Beans
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Green Beans
Wash and trim the ends of the fresh green beans. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in cold water until the batter is smooth and thick.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Green Beans
Dip each green bean into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip off, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Make the Spicy Aioli
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.
- 6
Serve
Serve the crispy fried green beans hot with the spicy aioli on the side for dipping.
