Slice the Mozzarella
Begin by slicing the fresh mozzarella into 1/4 inch thick slices. Set aside.

Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the Roma tomatoes thoroughly, then slice them into 1/4 inch thick rounds.

Gather the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Assembly

Layer the Ingredients
On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. Start with a slice of mozzarella, followed by a slice of tomato, and continue layering until all ingredients are used.

Add Basil
Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the layers of mozzarella and tomatoes for flavor and garnish.

Drizzle with Balsamic
Drizzle aged balsamic vinegar evenly over the assembled Caprese salad. Ensure all layers get a touch of the vinegar.

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the salad to taste, enhancing the flavors of the ingredients.
