Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

1

Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Do not wash them under water as mushrooms absorb moisture.

2

Remove Stems

Carefully remove the stems from the mushrooms using a small knife or your fingers. Set the stems aside for the stuffing mixture.

3

Brush with Olive Oil

Place the cleaned mushrooms on a baking sheet. Brush the tops and insides of the mushrooms with olive oil to enhance flavor and prevent sticking while baking.

Stuffing Mixture

4

Prepare the Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

5

Chop the Stems

Finely chop the reserved mushroom stems and add them to the stuffing mixture. Stir to incorporate.

6

Stuff the Mushrooms

Using a small spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the stuffing mixture, pressing it down slightly to ensure it holds.

Baking

7

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

8

Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the stuffing is golden brown.

9

Serve

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious stuffed mushrooms!
