Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatball Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.

Poboy Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Poboy

Cut the French bread rolls in half lengthwise. Place cooked meatballs on the bottom half of each roll.

  2. 5

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Spoon marinara sauce over the meatballs, then top with slices of provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles if desired. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.

French Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into fries. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the fries in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

  3. 8

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle with salt while they're still hot.
