Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. If using larger mushrooms, slice them into thick pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

Mince the garlic and chop the fresh parsley. Measure out the Marsala wine and demi-glace.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cleaned mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Seasoning

Stir in the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.

  3. 5

    Deglaze with Marsala

Pour in the Marsala wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Allow it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until reduced by half.

  4. 6

    Add Demi-Glace

Stir in the demi-glace and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. 7

    Finish and Serve

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve the Marsala mushrooms hot as a side dish or over pasta or rice.
