Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, rosemary, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the jumbo shrimp and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Shrimp

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers for easy grilling. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove from grill and set aside.

Grits Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Grits

In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Stir in the grits and salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the grits are thickened and creamy, about 20-25 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Cream and Butter

Once the grits are cooked, stir in the heavy cream and butter until fully incorporated. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Herb Cream Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Herb Cream Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, pour the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the chopped parsley, chives, lemon juice, and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, spoon a generous portion of creamy grits. Top with grilled shrimp and drizzle the herb cream sauce over the shrimp and grits. Garnish with additional herbs if desired.
