Muffaletta Sandwich

French Fries

Method

Prepare the Muffaletta Sandwich

  1. 1

    Slice the Ciabatta Bread

Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the ciabatta loaf in half horizontally.

  2. 2

    Spread the Olive Salad

Spread half of the olive salad evenly on the bottom half of the ciabatta bread.

  3. 3

    Layer the Meats and Cheeses

Layer the salami, capicola, and mortadella on top of the olive salad. Add slices of provolone and Swiss cheese on top of the meats.

  4. 4

    Add Remaining Olive Salad

Spread the remaining olive salad on the top half of the ciabatta bread.

  5. 5

    Drizzle with Olive Oil

Drizzle the olive oil over the top half of the sandwich.

  6. 6

    Combine the Sandwich

Carefully place the top half of the ciabatta bread over the layered ingredients to complete the sandwich.

Prepare the French Fries

  1. 7

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes in batches to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  4. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
