Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burrata

Gently remove the burrata cheese from its packaging and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set up the Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt and black pepper in the third bowl.

Breading and Frying

  1. 3

    Bread the Burrata

Coat each burrata ball first in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well covered.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 5

    Fry the Burrata

Carefully place the breaded burrata into the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 6

    Drain the Burrata

Once fried, remove the burrata with a slotted spoon and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Arrange the fried burrata on a serving platter and serve immediately with marinara sauce and pesto on the side for dipping.
