Meatballs

Method

Cooking Process

  1. 1

    Prepare Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove meatballs and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make Tomato Sauce

In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent. Then, add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir well and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Add the browned meatballs back into the skillet with the tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for another 10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Prepare Ricotta Mixture

In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and salt until smooth.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve meatballs topped with tomato sauce and a dollop of ricotta cheese on top.
