Fried Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken thighs, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Coat the Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade and let excess drip off. Dredge chicken in all-purpose flour, ensuring an even coating.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry chicken for about 7-10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Salsa
In a bowl, mix corn kernels, finely chopped red onion, diced red bell pepper, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Toss to combine and set aside.
