Method

Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the filet mignon and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Butter

In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and butter to the pan, spooning the melted butter over the steak.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the cubed potatoes. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add minced garlic, butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Asparagus

  1. 7

    Prepare the Asparagus

In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 8

    Cook the Asparagus

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the asparagus. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
