In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix; small lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes

Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can add a small amount of butter or oil to prevent sticking.

Cook Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, about another 2-3 minutes.
