Burger Patties

Buns and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spoon until the spices are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). If using cheese, place it on the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the gluten-free burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 6

    Build Your Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty. Add tomato slices, pickles (if using), and any desired condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
