Mayo Base

Eggs

Garnish (optional)

Method

Mayo Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended and smooth.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the mayo mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Eggs Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil.

  2. 5

    Add Eggs

Carefully add the large eggs to the boiling water. Add 0.5 tsp of salt to the water to enhance flavor.

  3. 6

    Cook the Eggs

Boil the eggs for 9-12 minutes, depending on how hard you want the yolks. 9 minutes for soft-boiled, 12 for hard-boiled.

  4. 7

    Cool and Peel

Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath (bowl of ice water) for about 5 minutes to cool. Once cooled, gently tap the eggs to crack the shells and peel under running water.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Slice the Eggs

Once peeled, slice the boiled eggs in half lengthwise.

  2. 9

    Add Garlic Crema

Spoon a generous amount of the garlic crema mayo onto each egg half.

  3. 10

    Garnish (Optional)

Sprinkle chopped chives and paprika over the top of the mayo-covered eggs for added color and flavor.
