Brownie Preparation

Melt Butter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring occasionally until fully melted.

Mix Sugars
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter.

Bake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool Brownies
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

Serve Brownies
Place a square of brownie on a plate and top with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Add Chocolate Sauce
Drizzle chocolate sauce over the brownie and ice cream to taste.
