Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and sesame oil. Add the ahi tuna steak, making sure it is well coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Slaw

Shred the green papaya and carrot. In a large bowl, combine the shredded papaya, carrot, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Toss well and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Wasabi Mayo

In a small bowl, mix the wasabi paste with the mayonnaise until smooth. Adjust wasabi to taste.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ahi Tuna

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated ahi tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the seared ahi tuna and serve on a plate with a side of green papaya slaw and a dollop of wasabi mayo.
