Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Garlic
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Incorporate Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves and mix them into the tomatoes and garlic.

Season the Mixture
Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mixture, and stir until well combined. Set aside.
Grilling the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into ½ inch thick slices.

Grill the Bread
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the slices, oiled side down, on the grill. Grill for about 2 minutes or until grill marks appear.

Flip and Toast
Flip the slices and grill for another 1-2 minutes until crispy and golden brown.

Remove the grilled bread from the heat and place on a serving platter. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice.
