Homefries & Tots Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into 1/2-inch cubes for homefries or into bite-sized pieces for tots.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

  3. 3

    Season the Potatoes

In a large bowl, combine the dried potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.

  4. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned potatoes in a single layer and cook for about 10-15 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the heat, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
