Fried Buffalo Cauliflower
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and set aside.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the cold water until a smooth batter forms.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
- 5
Fry the Cauliflower
Carefully place the battered cauliflower florets into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Toss in Hot Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried cauliflower with Frank’s Red Hot Sauce until evenly coated.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fried buffalo cauliflower hot with bleu cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
