Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

Grilling the Salmon

  1. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets on the grill skin-side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Preparing the Asparagus

  1. 4

    Trim Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus spears, about 1-2 inches from the bottom.

  2. 5

    Sauté Asparagus

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the asparagus and lemon juice, cooking for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 6

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add lemon zest and chopped parsley, stirring to combine.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place grilled salmon on plates, arrange sautéed asparagus beside it, and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon. Serve immediately.
