Marshmallow Crème Brûlée Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Custard

In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Mix Egg Yolks

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks until they are well blended. Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking constantly to prevent curdling.

  3. 3

    Combine with Marshmallow Fluff

Once combined, stir in the marshmallow fluff and a pinch of sea salt until smooth.

  4. 4

    Bake the Custard

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Pour the mixture into ramekins and place them in a baking dish. Fill the baking dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set in the center.

  5. 5

    Cool and Chill

Remove the ramekins from the water bath and let them cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

  6. 6

    Torch the Sugar

Before serving, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar on top of each custard. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it forms a crispy, golden layer.
