Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
- 2
Make the Soy Caramel
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
- 3
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender.
- 4
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the soy caramel over them. Toss gently to coat. Slice the scallions and sprinkle them on top along with sesame seeds before serving.
