Stuffed Shells
Method
Preparation and Baking
Cook the Pasta
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in the cream cheese and half of the cheddar cheese until well combined.
Stuff the Shells
Carefully fill each cooked shell with the beef and cheese mixture. Place stuffed shells in a greased baking dish.
Make the Tomato Gravy
In a bowl, combine your favorite tomato sauce with seasonings of your choice (like Italian herbs or additional garlic). Pour the tomato gravy over the stuffed shells.
Add Topping
In a separate bowl, mix the remaining cheddar cheese with breadcrumbs and bacon bits. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the stuffed shells.
Serve
Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your cheeseburger stuffed shells!
