Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine the cubed bread, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 2
Bake the Croutons
Bake the croutons in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through to ensure even browning. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 3
Assemble the Salad
In a large bowl, chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Add the Caesar dressing and toss until the lettuce is well coated.
- 4
Serve
Top the salad with shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, freshly ground black pepper, and the homemade croutons. Serve immediately.
