Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Make the Cheesecake Base
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and vanilla, mixing until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, blending until just incorporated. Pour into a greased 9-inch springform pan.
- 2
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set. Let cool completely before adding the next layer.
- 3
Prepare the Banana Pudding Layer
In a medium bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and milk until thickened. Slice the bananas and fold them into the pudding.
- 4
Assemble the Cheesecake
Spread the banana pudding layer evenly over the cooled cheesecake. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
- 5
Make Candied Walnuts
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add walnuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir continuously until the sugar has melted and coats the walnuts. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 6
Prepare Chantilly Topping
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Stir in vanilla extract.
- 7
Serve
Slice the cheesecake, top with chantilly cream and candied walnuts. Enjoy!
