Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tsp of black tea leaves. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea leaves from the brewed tea into a pitcher.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, add sugar, honey, or stevia to the hot tea and stir until completely dissolved. Start with 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey and adjust to taste.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 5

    Cool Down

Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.

  2. 6

    Refrigerate

Once cooled, place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1-2 hours.

Serving the Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Glasses

    Fill glasses with ice cubes.

  2. 8

    Pour Tea

Pour the chilled tea over the ice-filled glasses.

  3. 9

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices, mint leaves, or peach slices as desired.
