Hot Chocolate Base

    Heat the Milk

    In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it's warm but not boiling.

    Mix Cocoa and Sugar

    In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder and granulated sugar together.

    Combine Ingredients

    Add the cocoa and sugar mixture to the warm milk, whisking continuously until fully dissolved.

    Add Vanilla and Salt

    Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Continue to heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling.

Chantilly Cream

    Whip the Cream

    In a mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

    Beat Until Stiff Peaks

    Using an electric mixer, beat the cream mixture on high speed until stiff peaks form.

Assembly

    Serve the Hot Chocolate

    Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with a generous dollop of the chantilly cream.

    Garnish (Optional)

    For an added touch, sprinkle a little cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top of the chantilly cream.
